SUMMER CAMPS 2010
Summer and its long, lazy holidays are nearly here. Wondering how to maintain your children’s standard of English in the months ahead? Or looking for interesting ways for them to have fun and be challenged during the holidays?....Lola is offering exciting, creative workshops throughout the summer months.
Morning workshops take place between 9am-12pm, Lola is open during the Summer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, for 3 sets of camps; June 21-July 9, July 26- August 6, and August 23-September 3rd. You can pick and choose programmes, dates and hours that suit your child, from the below options:

JUNE
Art and Summer: The Holidays are here! Let us get ourselves ready for the months ahead…We will make sure we have a fancy decorated hat and canvas bag for the beach, flip flops and a pareo for all those pool parties! We will create fantastic under water mosaic masterpieces on wood, and look at how renown artists portray Summer in their works of art…Much fun under the sun indeed…!
Art and Food: Get your spoon, paintbrush and chocolate syrup ready – we’re going to create Art! From cupcake design to mosaics with food to chocolate syrup painting – it’s all about the wonderful and wacky world of food art! We’ll build spaghetti sculptures, learn about food artists such as Vic Muniz and make our very own edible jewelry!
JULY
Art and Theatre: To be or not to be…at Lola this week…THAT is the question! A fantastic few days behind the scenes at the theatre! We will create some incredible costumes, design our own sets, and transform ourselves into characters with the help of make up and face paints.
Art and Music: Let us listen and be inspired by the famous works of Jazz, Classical and Rock musicians all over the world, and look at how artists like Romare Bearden and Kandinsky were themselves influenced and excited by music. We will also create some instruments of our very own, as well as some large abstract paintings and collages…A week to soothe your soul..!
AUGUST
Art and Nature: An old favourite at Lola…Let’s take some time out of our busy city lives to ponder all of nature’s gifts…from landscape oil paintings, to planting flowers and vegetables, to huge nature collages, flower arranging, rock painting, and bamboo windchimes…
Art and History: A closer look at the long history behind art, from Cave painting to the Egyptians, from Roccoco to Impressionism…a quick trip back over some of the predominant styles and artists of those eras, to inspire us to create our own fantastic works of art.
Art and Design: This last week of Summer camp we will meander through the world of Design, from Book design and Graphics, to Interior design and architecture, and last but not least, Fashion design and accessories! We will be inspired by famous children’s book illustrators like Quentin Blake and Lauren Child, flick through the pages of International Vogue and Elle, and create our miniature dream houses and interiors.
· Payment is due at the time of registration.
· Unless otherwise indicated, all camps have a maximum of eight and a minimum of 4 children.
· There is 25% discount for siblings, as well as a 10% discount for early booking (before June 15th)
Daily classes = 100tl + KDV for one 3 hour mix workshop including 2 hours of art, an hour of extra activity, all materials, and a healthy snack .
Weekly classses = 280tl + KDV for three 3 hour mix workshops including 2 hours of art and an hour of extra activity each day, all materials, and a healthy snack.
